The Scarpa Maestrale RS boots are the perfect blend of performance and functionality. The Maestrale RS model uses a Grilamid shell with bi-injected carbon for added power and stiffness without adding weight. The Evo V Frame, which uses Grilamid Bio – a renewable and earth-friendly resource – also increases torsional stiffness while providing a 60-degree range of motion for long, efficient strides. The HRS strap keeps the heel planted where it needs to be for increased performance and comfort on the way up and down, while the Wave Closure lower closure system provides the same security as a 2-buckle system at a fraction of the weight. The glove-friendly finger strap features RECCO technology for increased search capability in the event of an avalanche.

– V-shaped reed made of environmentally friendly Grilamid Bio Evo. By using plant-derived castor oil instead of petroleum-based oil, Grilamid Bio significantly reduces CO2 emissions during production, while maintaining the excellent stiffness and elasticity properties required. Castor plants grow well in semi-arid regions and do not compete with food crops, making them an excellent alternative to fossil sources. Grilamid Bio is not biodegradable, but it is completely recyclable
